PENGARUH KENAIKAN HARGA PANGAN TERHADAP TINGKAT INFLASI DI JAWA TIMUR

Food price fluctuations in recent years have shown an upward trend, significantly impacting regional economic stability, particularly inflation. This study aims to analyze the effect of rising food prices on the inflation rate in East Java Province. Using a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis, this study utilizes secondary data in the form of price developments for major food commodities and monthly inflation data from relevant statistical agencies. The results indicate that rising food prices have a positive and significant impact on the inflation rate, both simultaneously and partially. Commodities such as rice, chilies, and chicken have been shown to be the main contributors to changes in regional inflation. These findings confirm that food price stability plays a crucial role in maintaining inflation in East Java. This research is expected to be a consideration for local governments in formulating policies to control prices and strengthen food security
